Salmonella is Making Headlines Again. Are Those Tomatoes Safe to Eat?

The Co-op currently sources all of its tomatoes from reputable growers in Canada and in the Upper Valley of Vermont & New Hampshire, and no tomatoes from these areas have been implicated in the FDA’s Salmonella outbreak warning. Furthermore, the FDA recommends the continued use of “cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes, and tomatoes sold with the vine still attached from any source.”

Meet Lisa Wragg, Accounting Employee Extraordinaire
Lisa Wragg came to the Co-op nearly right out of high school. She was a whiz with numbers, great with people, and willing to work hard to do the job right. Nearly nine years later, Lisa is still here, and the Co-op is fortunate to have her. Lisa works in the Co-op Accounting Department, where a sharp mind and attention to detail are paramount. She gets the job done with a warm, affable personality, and you can even find her helping to bag groceries and park cars and retrieve carts during our busy holiday shopping periods. Crunching numbers and helping coworkers and customers. All in a day’s work.
