Co-op Community Gardens

Red onions from the Co-op Community Gardens in Norwich, Vermont.
Our Community Gardens are located on a beautiful, bucolic plot of land in Norwich, Vermont. They are available to Co-op members for a modest fee. The garden has twenty plots, each measuring 20 feet square.

Many gardeners tend their plots with organic methods, growing a combination of vegetables, herbs, and flowers in their space. In true cooperative community spirit, friends and family drop by to check on the garden’s progress, and “little sprouts” learn from experienced gardeners.

A benefit of Community Gardening is the sharing of information. “It’s like taking a class,” says one gardener. “You learn so much from talking with other gardeners and looking at their plots.”
