Walhowdon Farm in Lebanon, NH, was in existence before New Hampshire even became a state! A bicentennial farm that has been in the family for more than 230 years, its orchards provide the Hanover and Lebanon Co-op customers with apples in order of their seasonal appearance. Co-op members and customers also enjoy Walhowdon Cider that safely retains its natural cider flavor through ultra-violet pasteurization. While many members of the family have been a vital part of the farm and dairy operations over the years, Matt Patch is responsible for the apple orchards. The apples harvested and provided to the Co-op include Paula Reds, MacIntosh, Cortlands, Macouns, Empires, and Ida Reds. Ancestors of the Patch family settled this land some eight generations ago, and ever since, residents of this region have benefited from the fruits of their labor.
