We run our Meat Counters like an old-fashioned butcher shop. Meat cutting is a trade that has a long history and takes a lot of skill to do it right, and as a result our meat cutters take great pride in what they do. Visit our Meat Departments and have the products you want cut and wrapped to your exact specifications. Cooking advice, food-safety tips, and recipe suggestions are all part of the bargain. We’ll even sharpen your knife for you!
Ice Cream Social This Week!
There’s nothing that the good folks in the Co-op Frozen Department love more than summer. And though summer at the Co-op means many things, free ice cream may be at the top of the list. Join us for our Ice Cream Social on Thursday, July 24, at the Hanover food store and Friday, July 25, at the Lebanon food store. Both events are from 4 to 6 p.m. and feature loads of ice cream, toppings, and other tasty treats. It’s free, of course, and kids with chocolate-covered chins are welcome. Don’t forget to mark your calendars now to join us at our next event, the Producer’s Fair, coming to the Lebanon food store on Saturday, August 9!
Meet Jolene Labonte
It’s not easy keeping the big and busy Co-op Merchandising area organized. In fact, it was so difficult that not long ago we realized someone special needed to help us with it. Fortunately, Jolene agreed to take on the job, and we’re lucky that she did. Jolene has been at the Co-op for a long time. She’s smart, friendly, and super organized. She spent years helping customers at our Service Desk, and was so good at what she did she was given more responsibility. Now she assists our Merchandising Director and Assistant Director, and with her help all of our merchandisers can more easily do what they do so well.
