Years and years ago now—when many businesses were still just testing the waters of this whole crazy idea of using computers in the workplace—the Co-op decided it might need to use the things too. No one knew much about it at the time, but a young guy in the Accounting Department who was a hardcore video-game player decided to give it a whirl and help the Co-op implement a basic computer system. Scott Cleveland worked hard, learned as he went along, and decades later he’s still here as the Director of the Co-op IT Department. (Look for him helping to park cars in the Hanover parking lot around the holidays!) The Co-op’s digital systems are much more extensive and sophisticated today than they were when Scott started, such as the state-of-the-art website you are looking at now. And in addition to being responsible for those systems and the IT staff who maintains them, you can even find Scott helping customers in and out of the parking lot during the busy holiday shopping season. Multitasking at its finest. Right up Scott’s alley.
