The temperature is headed into the 90s, and the fruit is gently warm in the hands of the pickers. Before lunch on an average day in strawberry season, the folks at Edgewater Farm will harvest 800 quarts of strawberries, many of them for sale at the Co-op. Pooh and Anne Sprague have been raising strawberries along the shady banks of the Connecticut River since 1974. Over time, the operation grew to include other summer fruits and vegetables, as well as extensive greenhouses and pick-your-own.

Return to the days of the old-fashioned market—full of beautiful color and fresh food in all its myriad of variety. But don’t take our word for it. Browse the photo gallery! Our recently constructed Community Food Market is a new and beautiful food store with an expansive product line, seating for customers, and state-of-the-art environmental features. It is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and is located on 43 Lyme Road in Hanover, New Hamsphire. We look forward to seeing you there!
