May is just around the corner and we’re expecting a variety of local organic herbs to arrive from Honey Field Farm (Norwich, VT) in Hanover & Lebanon on Saturday. Chives, sage, lavender, mint … grab your favorites early, they’ll go quickly!

Also going quickly are pansies from Four Springs Farm (South Royalton, VT). We’ll be getting in our last delivery of the season this weekend so be sure to pick up yours before they’re gone.

New this week in Produce is the return of organic mixed greens from Generation Farm (Concord, NH)! Their yummy lettuce blend includes varieties like butter and oakleaf, and is packaged in containers made of post consumers recycled plastic! If you don’t see their greens on the shelf this weekend, check back early in the week – they arrive to us on Mondays.

Long before "local" was incorporated into the positioning statement of every giant discount megastore, it was a cornerstone to the work of food cooperatives.
