Local & Regional Products List

**Updated 4/18/24**
With Earth Day approaching you may be wondering how you can reduce your carbon footprint - buying local fruits & veggies is an easy way to get started! Local produce travels a much shorter distance to get to your table, which helps reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere. It’s also often fresher than anything else we source because it can be harvested the same day it’s delivered.

This week you can reduce your carbon footprint with organic spinach just starting this week from Generation Farm - an early season spinach available while we wait for Killdeer Farm to start up. Or if you’re ready to grill, warm to medium-high heat and try throwing some Laughing Child Farm organic sweet potatoes on for about 35-40 mins. Whatever your preference, now is a great time to consider your carbon footprint and ways to reduce it!

New/Returning Items:

  • Generation Farm – Organic spinach

Done for the Season:

  • Pete’s Greens – Organic Clean Line Big Carrots, Clean Line Baby Beets, green cabbage, red beets

Watch Out For

  • Wild Leeks & Fiddleheads in the coming weeks!

What Local Means to Us

Long before "local" was incorporated into the positioning statement of every giant discount megastore, it was a cornerstone to the work of food cooperatives.

Like the organic and green movements, the local movement had an early champion in food co-ops, who for decades have been touting the need to preserve networks of small family farms and independent food producers.
